On Saturday, 28th August, 2021, the 40th Anniversary of the setting up of the Greenham Common Peace Camp was celebrated at a meeting in the Peace Garden when many of those who took part re-united to keep the memory of the struggle for peace alive, along with that of others who have passed on. Kathrine Jones, Vice-President of the Socialist Labour Party, was present as a member of the organising group.
At the same time the President of the SLP, Arthur Scargill, was speaking at the anniversary of another key event to remember people in struggle for equality, justice and peace gathered in Jarrow where the Greenham Common Peace Camp was also remembered.
